Today is Good Friday, the day that Jesus was crucified. It is a very holy day. It has grown dark outside and the sound of distant, threatening thunder coming ever closer is heard. A great storm is coming, just as there was during Christ's crucifixion 2000 years ago. At 12:00 our family always turns every light in the house off until 3:00 to remind us what it was like at Jesus's death. We speak in whispers and the house is put in a solemn reverence for His holy sacrifice. He redeemed all mankind and opened the gates of Heaven for us so we may live with Him forever if we choose to follow Him.
The 7th Grade class of Blessed Sacrament School presented a play of the Living Stations of the Cross. It was beautifully done! It started at 3:00pm, the time when Jesus expired on the cross. This (my mom thinks and so do I) was the best one they have done yet.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Have Mercy on Us!
Have Mercy on Us!
